Organically grown carrot seed for deeply coloured roots with good texture and a small core. Ideal for successional sowings throughout the summer.
Easily sown direct in the garden. Regular sowings, made every three weeks, will ensure a continuous supply of young roots. Organically grown seed: Grown by dedicated farmers using strictly organic methods, the seeds have been approved by Organic Farmers and Growers Ltd.
Root vegetables boast a host of colours and flavours and include carrots, radish, horseradish, sweet potato, turnip and beetroot. Their low rate of metabolism allows for a relatively long postharvest life. Thanks to their high water content, they are key ingredients for a low fat diet. This wholefood is well suited for all cooking options: grilling, mashing, roasting, frying and even in soups. Don't skimp on sunshine when growing them!
