With it’s porcelain enamel hood and body, chrome heat indicator and cooking grill, large capacity ash collector, adjustable air vents and hub-capped wheels, the Comet is a stand-out addition to the Outback charcoal BBQ range. A built-in chrome heat indicator lets you check temperatures at a glance. With the grill size of 540 mm, it’s compact enough to be practical but large enough so that you can grill burgers, chicken, vegetables, or roast larger cuts with confidence. It also works well for light smoking. We’ve built the Comet with adjustable air vents to give you simple control over airflow and temperature. Opening or closing the vents lets you raise or lower heat as needed. This makes the barbecue accessible for beginners while still flexible for experienced cooks. Cleaning is always the anti-climax to any great cookout. But the Comet’s large ash collector beneath the grill comes out cleanly, helping you dispose of ash without unnecessary mess.
