Preparation: Sow from March to October, watering well when weather is dry. Before sowing break up clods and remove perennial weeds, stones and rubbish. Cultivate soil to depth of 7.5-10cm.
For new Lawns: Divide area into manageable sections of square metre. A soft, moist soil is best for seed growing. Simply shake the mixture evenly on area. Seed rate 200g per 6sqm. Rake seed lightly into soil to depth of 0.6cm. Water well with light spay frequently. Keep soil moist until lawn is rooted but don't wash away seed! When grass reaches 8 cm high cut for first time.
Over seeding or Restoring Lawn: Mow grass as short as possible. Rake out dead and dry grass, cutting and rubbish. Shake the seed mixture evenly over the area, seed rate 200g per 12sqm, Rake the seed lightly to ensure seeds reach a depth of approximately 1cm. Water well with light spay frequently. Keep soil moist until lawn is rooted but don't wash away seed! When grass reaches 8 cm high cut for first time.
Protect your lawn with netting or like, to deter birds from taking the seeds and seedlings.
Fertilizer is recommended a few weeks after first seeds have grown.
