How to get your children out of the house this summer

June 5, 2018 by Laura QD

Instead of heading outdoors to bask in the sunshine, it seems that most children would rather be indoors in front of the television or tablet screen. If this sounds like your child. we’ve put together a few ideas to help you persuade your children to put down the tablet and head outdoors to play.

Garden games

Children young and old love garden games. Whether it is chasing each other around with water guns or simply setting up obstacle courses; once the games come out your children will quickly follow and head outdoors to participate in the fun. With a wide variety of inexpensive garden games to choose from they are a great way of making your garden a fun play zone for your children.

Outdoor sports

All children need is a football or tennis rackets and balls to persuade them out of the house and into the garden to play outdoor sports. Football is one of the easiest and cheapest ways for children to play outside and has been used by parents for generations to get children outside. Once Wimbledon is on the TV children will be keen to have their own go at tennis and will be happy to pick up the tennis racket and head outside for their own game.

Paddling Pools

When the weather gets really warm young children can easily be persuaded out of the house by the simple sound of a paddling pool being filled with water. Children can happily spend hours playing in paddling pools and with a wide variety of paddling pools now available to suit all budgets and needs they are a great summer treat for children.
