Create a bird-friendly garden and fill your garden with feathered friends!

Put out seeds

The best way to attract birds is to put out food! It’s worth putting out a variety of different types of seeds to attract different type of birds.

Bathing Birdies!

Having a water supply for birds is essential for helping them digest dry seeds, they will also wash in the baths too! Don’t forget to put out fresh water regularly and keep the bath clean to avoid spreading bacteria that could make the birds ill.

Safe and sound

Place feeders in a safe place, try and choose somewhere where the birds and easily dart back and forth.

Provide a home

Put up some nest boxes for the birds in a safe place. The ideal location would be two to four metres above the ground up a wall or tree.

 Berries

Birds love berries and it will ensure food is available even if you’re away! Types of berry trees and shrubs you could grow are, Holly, Hawthorn, Rowan and Guelder rose.
